The idea for this would be to click a search button (or Ctrl + F or F3 keybinds) and show a popup window with a checklist of every room you're in, and a search input entry for the pattern with a search button

when you click search, the window changes to a message list showing the messages matching the pattern from the selected rooms

message results could be ordered by room or by general timeline

also while the timeline is updating, you could specify a time range to narrow down the displayed results.
